Steak 38 & Mickey's Raw Bar (CLOSED)

Steak 38 and Mickey's Raw Bar is one man's solution to a dying tradition. When the restaurant opened up over 10 years ago, nobody was eating meat, he says. That's what owner Joe DiAmore liked to eat and that was good enough for him. So he followed his heart not denying that if you want something done you must do it yourself - in no time, Steak 38 was born. The restaurant has helped rekindle an appreciation for that perfect cut of beef. Not to mention, the delicious, unforgettable taste of fresh seafood. The local diners of Brigantine can't get enough! The dining space is divided into two sections with a predominant "dining room" complete with white lights and glass panels and then the second area, which is reserved for bar seating, dancing and live entertainment. More recently, DiAmore constructed Mickey's Raw Bar, located on the same property. The entrance is thatched and very "islandish" while the center of the room is dominated by a wooden boat bar named the Gang Plank. Thanks to the innovative construction of the bar, walking around the bow of the "boat" gives you the sensation that you are actually riding a wave. The menu features something for everyone with specialties sure to impress those interested in both land and sea classics. Notable selections include the Filet Mignon (center cut filet selected for your enjoyment,) Pork Chops (two of Jersey's finest center cut chops, served with a side of apple sauce,) Crab Imperial (lump crabmeat blended with imperial sauce and baked to perfection) and the Clam Bake (1lb.
